Julie Turgeon — Software Designer

I am a Swiss Army Knife product design lead who moves fluidly between strategy, systems, and pixels. My specialty is delivering clean, structured solutions to unruly, sprawling problems. I thrive in resource-constrained environments where the mandate is to do more with less.

lead product designer, the metropolitan museum of art

At The Met, I set the direction for design across a suite of digital products, steward our design system, and help cultivate the next generation of designers through our fellowship program. Working on a small team means I regularly roll up my sleeves and get into the pixels (and into the codebase!).

visiting assistant professor, pratt institute

I teach Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Digital Product Design to graduate students in Pratt's Information Experience Design program, introducing and deepening their understanding of the design process with an emphasis on research-backed decision-making.
